The father of nation of Bangladesh

 
In 17 march,1920 (pesently gopalganj) born at Tungipara village under the district of Faridpur.

1938 he was in jail, because of his nationalist speech in a political crowed.

 
1940 when the state minister Fazlul Huq and minister of food Suhrawardi visited to the Gopalgonj School, Sheikh Mujib and some other students blocked their way in the demand of the government initiative for the advancement of his school’s condition. The leaders received his demand.
In Calcutta Islamia College under the union of central students he was elected as general Secretary in 1946.
The East Pakistan Muslim Students' League were formed in 1947. In Narayanganj, the month of november in 1947,in the conference of Students league,first use the name of ‘Bangladesh’

 
Remaining in jail,He was elected as the Founder joint secretary of Awami Muslim League in 23rd june 1949.
He was released in July and  immediately in jail for hunger strike.In support of the heroes of Bangla language movement a hunger strike organized in front of Dhaka Central Jail in 1952.
The responsibility of the General Secretary of Awami League was accorded to him in 1953.
Headed by Chief Minister Fazlul Haque a new ministry was formed on 12 May 1954 and Sheikh Mujib was included as the youngest member of the cabinet. 
 
The month of May 30 in 1954,the central government dissolved Fazlul Haque's cabinet, imposed direct rule and arrested their first and foremost enemy, Sheikh Mujib and get rid of  From jail on December 18 of that year. 


In september of 1955 "Muslim Awami League" turned into a non-communal political party by removing the word "Muslim" from its official name.In the same month Governor's rule was lifted and election of the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan was held on 2  june, 1956.   


 
Sheikh Mujib was elected a member of the Constituent Assembly of that election.  He  gave the responsibility as the Minister for trade, industry and anti-corruption in the ministry headed  by Ataur Rahman Khan in 1956.
 In 1957 the month of May he resigned from the ministry to give time  himself to organizational work for the party.On 12 false charges, he was again arrested by the military dictator General Ayub Khan in 1958.
